Part 4 l Chromatin, Epigenetics, & Nuclear Architecture

Chromatin, comprised of DNA, histones, and additional structural proteins, is the fundamental unit of life. Essentially all cellular processes are governed by changes in chromatin structure, which, in turn, regulates gene expression. Such changes are particularly pertinent in stem cells, which maintain potency on the one hand, but undergo massive changes upon differentiation on the other. This ISSCR Digital series is developed in parallel with the Stem Cell Reports upcoming special issue on nuclear architecture.
